Avocado Margaritas!

Life can't be THAT serious. Kick back and enjoy your Avocado Frozen Margarita, you deserve it! And besides, it's half healthy, right?!?!
  • ¾ cups of store bought Margarita Mix
  • 3 shots of tequila
  • 1½ avocado (cut up fresh avocado without skin, de-pit and place in a freezer bag and freeze for a few hours before making margarita)
  • handful of ice
  • Optional: Limes and Salt
  1. Cut avocado in half, remove pit, and take out meat of avocado out of the shell. I put the avocado in a freezer safe ziplock bags and froze it for a few hours before blending.
  2. Once avocados were frozen, place ice, frozen avocado, tequila and margarita mixer in the blender (add more alcohol or mixer to your liking). Originally, I did not put ice cubes thinking the frozen avocado was enough but after blending I realized you need a little ice to get that creamy frozen texture. You might have to add more ice than I did, particularly if your liquor melts the ice.
  3. Blend and be ready to be wowed!
  4. Optional: Wet rim of glass with a piece of lime, then dip into salt to give a salt rim.
